Living your way.
Getting assistance at home is not as easy as it seems.
For most people having regular, reliable and long term care workers is a fanstasy rather than reality. Eventhough we have alot more service providers in the NDIS space and a growing number of people choosing to work independently, there remains a real gap in reliable support staff for people with a disability especially for those requiring complex care.
This is my opinion only from the conversations I have with clients who struggle to find staff who are willing to provide reliable long term care. It seems as though, despite a real growth in the number of people providing care, not alot are willing to provide essential personal care to those who rely on support from service providers for essential daily living tasks.
Matching support staff with clients is so important! There is nothing more rewarding than being able to find a person who is able to not only do the job well but gets on well with the client!
How can we as an industry attract the right people to actually help those needing supporting live life their way?
